GO Personnel is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Press Operator with pay of $23.00 per hour to join our manufacturing team. As a Machine Press Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various types of machine presses to produce high-quality components and products. We’re looking for candidates with strong mechanical aptitude, efficiency in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to top-notch results.

Key Responsibilities

• Set Up and Preparation:
• Prepare machine processes for operation based on production specifications and instructions.
• Material Loading:
• Load materials into the machine press, ensuring proper alignment and positioning for accurate results.
• Machine Operation:
• Operate machine presses for stamping, cutting, shaping, or forming materials.
• Quality Monitoring:
• Monitor machine operations to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
• Adjustments and Optimization:
• Adjust machine settings as needed to optimize production efficiency and product quality.
• Inspection and Adjustment:
• Inspect finished products for defects (e.g., cracks, dents) and make necessary adjustments.
• Routine Maintenance:
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on machine presses (cleaning, lubricating, part replacement).
• Troubleshooting and Repairs:
• Troubleshoot machine issues and perform minor repairs when necessary.
• Safety Compliance:
• Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• Record Keeping:
• Maintain accurate production records (machine settings, counts, quality inspections).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience operating machine presses or similar equipment preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production specifications.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Physical stamina for lifting and standing.
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork.

Work Hours & Pay Information

• Full-time position.
• Shift: First six weeks 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, then 3:45 pm to 2:45 am.
• Temp-to-hire opportunity.
• Pay: $23.00 per hour.

Job Location: Liberty, MO

The Offset Web Press Operator is responsible for routine aspects of press operation by performing manual and machine operator tasks. They will manage the set-up, maintenance, and operation of the offset presses. The Offset Web Press focus is on achieving quality while maximizing press output.

Press Operator Duties and Responsibilities

• Reviewing job orders to make the right adjustments to the printing machine

• Installing parts and supplies such as ink rollers, screens, printing plates, and stencils according to the job specifications and blueprints

• Testing inks and paints on the printing surface to determine suitability

• Handling production of the printed materials, including the printing and racking process, to ensure they meet the specifications and are ready, and on schedule

• Performing maintenance tasks on the printing machine

• Troubleshooting equipment issues such as creaking noises, etc.

• Cleaning the printing press and peripherals

Press Operator Skills and Qualifications

• In-depth understanding of basic printing technologies

• Excellent physical strength and stamina

• Excellent time-management skills

• Interpersonal skills

Press Operator Education and Training Requirements

The minimum education requirement for a Press Operator is a high school diploma or General Education Development (GED). However, a bachelor’s or associate's degree in print technology will be useful.

Press Operator Experience Requirements

An experienced Press Operator will have at least one year’s experience working in a printing facility. They should have a proven record of producing high-quality printed materials on schedule and to client specifications. An experienced Press Operator should be comfortable working long shifts and carrying out physically exerting tasks. They should be familiar with installing different parts of the press such as rollers, plates, and feed guides, and adjusting them to get the desired results.

A Press Operator should also be experienced in record keeping, as they will need to maintain records of work produced, printing supplies, and routine maintenance.
